We do NOT specialize in substance use, eating disorders, or severe psychiatric disorders. We are not a crisis support centre and cannot provide assistance for immediate emergencies or acute mental health crises. For certain specialized needs, we will recommend and help you access appropriate services to ensure you receive the best possible care.
Children & Youth
Our team works with children and youth aged 4 years and up. Therapists draw from a variety of modalities and often include play and arts-based activities to engage young people in meaningful conversations, help them process life changes, and learn new strategies to deal with difficult situations and feelings.
Adults
Our team uses a client-centred approach and evidence-based techniques to help individuals gain clarity, develop coping skills, and foster resilience in facing life's complexities. Take the time to invest in yourself and discover new paths to wellbeing and personal growth.
Online counselling
Online appointments are offered at Family Services of Greater Victoria for children, youth, and adults. Online counselling is a convenient solution for those seeking professional support from the comfort and privacy of their own home.

For those without extended health insurance coverage, fees for programs and services are calculated on a sliding scale based on net annual household income. By choosing us, you are directly contributing to the wellbeing and development of our community.

Our agency offers a sliding scale fee structure to promote affordability and accessibility for individuals and families in the community. When your extended health benefits run out, the fees for counselling and mediation are calculated based on 0.1% of your net annual household income, rounded to the nearest $10,000.
CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your appointment, a cancellation fee will apply. This policy allows us to offer the appointment time to someone else in need. We appreciate your understanding.
